5 out of 5 stars Why didn't they have these sooner.   July 26, 2010

This is an excellent tool for the avid runner. I can't say enough about the positives.

4 out of 5 stars Great for Runners who Use iPods   July 20, 2010

I swap between my iPhone and my iPod nano and it works great. The only drawback is that I question its accuracy. I have gone through the calibration exercises, but still think it is off by tenths of a mile. Still, as a traveler, I am frequently taking new runs and this device helps me track how far I run and at what pace.

4 out of 5 stars Great features and love what it can do, but...   July 15, 2010

A friend mentioned the Nike+ to me, and he raved about this product. I have to say, I love it as well - not only does it have great features on an iPod, but the Nike+ website is fantastic. I'm able to see routes in my area through a Google Maps app, select a coaching/training program based on my goals, and track all of my workout activity.

The only thing preventing me from giving this a perfect 5 is a big drawback. On about my 6th run, my iPod froze and I had to reset it, losing my workout. Once, no big deal. But unfortunately it happened 2 runs later. Doing some research, I found that there are MANY others with the same issue and it has been unresolved for several years. Given I was following a coaching program I wanted to make sure I recorded everything I did on the Nike+ site. There are a few websites that show how to hack your iPod to recover your run (by copying another similar run) but it is somewhat painful to do.

All in all, great features, great concept - just wish it worked 100% of the time. We'll see how much it gives me grief over the long haul.

5 out of 5 stars Nike makes me want to work out   July 12, 2010

I was looking for something to get me motivated to exercise again. Look no further-this little guy is the bomb! I've had it for 10 days and have gotten my mojo back. I actually look forward to working out. The voice prompts and timings are much more important than I would have thought...very motivating. Today Lance Freakin' Armstrong congratulated me on my run, since it was "my longest run to date". Maybe silly, but hey, if it motivates you to work out, how can that be bad? I have been recommending this to everyone I know, and I'll add my 2-cents here. Oh-and ran a 5K this weekend...distance on it said 3.11 miles. How's that for accuracy?

5 out of 5 stars My aunt loves this!   July 6, 2010

My aunt loves this but she has some problems using the website. All in good time and practice.
