1 out of 5 stars Disappointed.   July 19, 2010

When we received this cable from Media Mart it didn't work. We tested it using another cord on the same iPod. Nothing. An email was sent to Media Mart to request a return, and they have not responded to us. We will probably just replace this cord by going to a media store in our city.

Bought this but....tried it on 3 separate telvision sets and it doesn't work. Wrote the company and they said 'it should.' Avoid this product.

It is excellent at outputing the video into a TV or DLP or whatever else you want.

I am not techno saavy but was able to get this to work with our tv so that the kids can watch the ipod videos on a bigger screen.

I have owned this cable for a little over 2 years now, it's served me well through 2 iPods; my iPod video 5th gen and 5.5 gen

It works perfectly- the sound is a little buzzy with some TV's, but as long as you're not playing classical music it sounds fine- and it ROCKS for playing my tv shows and movies in car for my brothers to see.

Simply remember to set your iPod video settings to "TV on" or "Ask" so that it enables the cable to work.
To hear music you only have to plug in the cable as if it were a set of headphones, but connected to the TV. If that doesn't work (it always does work) then download some pictures onto your iPod and play a slideshow while the music plays, this will force the AV input jacks to accept the sound because the photos will be detected as incoming video.

I have had no problems with this cable, it's excellent quality, and I am SOOOO glad that I didn't have to pay $50+ just to have one!!!!
