| Customer Reviews: Doesn't work on all apple items June 30, 2010 Kacie Leonard The description said that it works on iPhones. It doens't work on iPhones or iPads. I have not yet tried it on an iPod. Don't purchase if you plan on using it with an iPhone.
isnt compatible with 5th gen ipod nano? or did I miss something? April 28, 2010 Robert W. Lyle (Golden, CO) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I saw that the product description includes 5th gen ipod nano as compatible with this product and purchased it without a second thought.
When I got it, I plugged mine in (5th gen) and no video is displayed at all. I have made sure the TV out function is on and is set to NTSC (this is compatible with the TV I was testing it with).
This cord works great with my girlfriend's 4th gen nano, so I have no clue as to why it's not working for mine.
I figure that perhaps it's picky about which video file types it will actually display. I actually don't know what video file types this thing supports. I'm new to the ipod game in general but i assume it uses mpeg formats or mov (Quicktime). I have a few podcast videos on here and some amateur video files as well
I have made a few video camera movies and no luck with that either.
can someone explain why this is happening?
