5 out of 5 stars BUY!   July 18, 2010
Jeff Pittman (Durham, NC USA)
I drove from middle TN to middle NC listening to my MP3 player and didn't have to change channels ONCE. It seems to place itself between the on-air stations and your car radio, blocking out the stations. I had a more expensive model from another company and thought "is this as good as it gets?" No! THIS is as good as it gets, from a brand name I would never have expected it from. Get one and you will be amazed.

2 out of 5 stars Poor sound quality   July 6, 2010
Robert W. Baldwin (Michigan)
Technically, this product works. The problem is that the sound quality is slightly better than an AM radio. I was very disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Very good, and what you pay for   June 30, 2010
S. Schultz (Bellingham, WA USA)
I have had this transmitter for a bit over a year and it has worked well for me.

It is not terribly sturdy; it hasn't fallen apart on me, but the first warm day it was in my car the sticker on the front dial came off, and after a year the barrel that plugs into the cigarette lighter is coming apart a bit. Because of this, it seems to be getting inconsistent power, and not transmitting quite as well as when I first got it.

For what I paid, I definitely feel I got my money's worth. My car has no cassette, CD or other input, so an FM transmitter was my only option. While I'm sure this one would probably plug along for awhile longer, I am looking to replace it with something a tad more sturdy.

2 out of 5 stars Great ... until it died   June 18, 2010
NinjaBreaks
This has good transmission power for a low price. It did well on open bands and I had very few issues with the device in the first 3 months of ownership. Then, right outside of 90 days, it died. No warning, nothing. I treated this unit well and there is nothing in the way that I treated it that would have contributed to its early demise. Buyer beware.

4 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Decent Option   May 21, 2010
Christopher L. Del Plato (Washington Twp. (Morris), NJ United States)
Have been using one of these for over a year. Initial intermittent power issue was traced to a pinched wire inside, likely a random problem. I fixed that and it has been fine ever since. While one shouldn't expect noiseless audiophile sound quality (and no one should with any of these FM transmitters) it does perform as it should. You will get the occasional interference from nearby radio stations (if it's consistent, change the output frequency) and XM/Sirius kits in passing cars, but overall this is a great option, especially for those listening to podcasts and audiobooks. Works well and is a very good value compared to more expensive models with weaker transmitters.
