5 out of 5 stars The longest battery life you are going to get!   July 11, 2010
Adam Michael Leinss (Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA)
I love this little player. Just drag and drop your music and you are set to go. As echoed by other reviewers, the controls on this thing could be a bit better. The annoying thing is listening to a podcast in my truck and then all of sudden the player goes into fast forward mode without me touching it. Of course I'm driving, so I have to turn the player off, on and then try to find what track and what position I was at, then keylock it to settle it down. Of course, if you listen to a radio recording with commericals, you'll want to fast forward through those and if you apply just the wrong pressure with your finger, you can end up advancing to the next track instead.

The bookmarking feature is nice to have for listening to audio books, but being able to delete those bookmarks when attached the the computer would be nice. I had have 15+ bookmarks from listening to the same audio book and there appears to be no way of saying "delete all bookmarks for this subdirectory except the last one". So I end up scrolling around trying to find the last bookmark.

The battery life on this thing is nothing short of amazing. I use it around 2 hours a day, 5 days a week and I have to charge it once a month.

The standard mini-USB connection means I can connect it anywhere I want.

5 out of 5 stars The portable best MP3 player ever   May 16, 2010
Emil Stamatoiu (NHULUNBUY, NT, AU)
It is the best MP3 player so far.
The battery life is incredible.
I.e. I use the player on 2 hours a day average.
Last charge was 3 weeks ago.
I still see more than half battery capacity.
I use Shure SE530 PTH earphones and the sound quality and power are brilliant.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect portable player   March 22, 2010
Rohit Tole (USA)
I have owned Ipods and many iRivers previously. This Cowon player pretty much is the best mp3 player available at this price and the capacity.
Decent sound quality, on par with iRiver and way better than iPod. Battery life is decent if not close to factory tested 60 hours (you can easily get above 50 hours of music). Not recommended for the video although player is capable (screen is just too small for serious video playback). I intend to use it as a basic mp3 player and FM player so I am not so concerned about the video quality.
Player is made in Korea (expect good build quality). Decent sounding Ear phones are bundled. although I would recommend an upgrade to good quality ear phones (I am using Monter turbine copper edition).
You can overcome the 4000 files limit by upgrading the firmware (current one is 1.18).
The only downside is the over sensitive touch controls.
Menu and other controls are quite similar to iRiver T60 which makes me feel at home. Overall I would highly recommend this player for the decent sound and storage capacity. Bonus is the voice recording and FM player and direct line-in recording (which is missing on the other similar players).

5 out of 5 stars Amazing gadget...   March 2, 2010
Robert Netkovski (Skopje, Macedonia)
This llittle player has everything I would like from MP3 player. I have not played videos and I do not think I will play any as the screen is too small for that. The sound quality is excellent and it plays anythig you transfer to it :-). Battery life is outstanding and navigation is easy and quite logical.

The only thing that is not so good is the USB port transfer rate. It is very, very slow. Not even 1 Mbps, so to fill 16 Gb will take a whole night. Also, be careful how you store it. I have cracked the plastic on mine in my backpack. No clue how it happened. Still works great though.

Happy listening

2 out of 5 stars Not particularly compelling   February 18, 2010

I only use the iAUDIO I7 for listening to music. The audio quality is good, the USB flash drive feature is nice, and the battery life is stellar. But there are too many bad things about this player.

The swing touch interface is gimmicky without being practical. I prefer buttons and scroll wheels.

The user interface, for example, to add songs to the current playlist, is awful. Songs are listed by filename instead of ID3 tag, which is really annoying for me; I title my MP3s using artist - album - track - title, which means that I have to wait for a lot of extraneous information to scroll by before I can tell what song I'm selecting.

The JetAudio computer software is terrible. I use Windows Media Player to transfer songs instead.

I wish I could find a modern MP3 player that was as pleasant and easy to use as my old Rio Karma.
